Welcome to the PIE mailing list.

The PIE mailing list is for anyone interested in topics related to Italian genealogy. While many of the topics are specific to Italian genealogy, there is also discussion related to Italy in general.

The name comes from a group of us that subscribed to P.O.I.N.T., a newsletter about Italian genealogy. Someone decided to form a mailing list called POINTERs In E-mail, and we grew from there. You do not have to be a member of POINT to be on the list, but we highly recommend joining that organization. We are now in our Fifteenth year of operation and are the oldest Italian genealogy mailing list.
