We hope to have upcoming offers for the following shows: Bob the Builder, Fiddler on the Roof, Wizard of Oz,
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Mary Poppins.
Because our group did not make the min order of 20 tickets for some of the shows last season, in general
as shows come up we will have just 2 performance dates to per show to pick from. We also won't
offer as many shows as in past seasons. The good news is the Texas State Fair show is Mary Poppins. If
DFW area homeschoolers can encourage others to order when these offers become available, it will make it
easier for our group rep to negotiate with the production companies and Ticketmaster.
Watch for updates.

point you can either click on "look for tickets" button.
After you have clicked on "Look for Tickets", it will ask you
to type in and match what shows on your screen. It's a special word
verification the prevents automatic programs from getting tickets, you
may have to do that part more than once if you didn't type in the
verification just right.
When tickets show up, you have two minutes to complete your
order, or ticketmaster throws it back into the bin. The prices should
reflect the student ticket special. For shipping, best options are
either to have it done by email where you can print out your actual
tickets for $2.50 or you can choose standard delivery and tickets will
be sent by regular first class mail. They have other order options that
cost more, but Ticketfast or Standard mail are your most economical
options.
If it can't find seats, try again in a different section or a
different date with our homeschool discount code
entered.
Order early for best seats, the offer stays up
while ticket
supplies remain available, so order early for best seats and some
sections may sell out faster than others. Bottom line is it's a great
discount. This offer is open to friends and family as well, so feel
free to pass on the discount to them as well.

For last few seasons we've been able to offer
theatre discounts to homeschoolers in Houston and are pleased to be
able to extend the same type of offers to homeschoolers in the greater
Dallas-Fort Worth area. These offers are open to homeschoolers, their
friends and family, so do feel free to pass them onto others as each
offer goes active. Please mark your calendars for these dates. We will
need to order at least 20 tickets for each show. Please tell all your
friends and encourage them to order tickets when the site goes online.
If our group does not order at least 20 for each show offered, we will
not be able to get discount tickets for future shows and future
seasons. Thanks for helping to spread the word about these discounts!
Watch this page for updates on current/future shows.
Shows that take place during the Texas State Fair in October
include free admission to the fair with your theater ticket. For the
2009 season, the Texas State Fair show is Mary Poppins. Please vote
in the poll to help us determine which shows will have homeschool
offers.
Texas
State Fair General information - check this website closer to
show dates to see what is available on your performance date.
Texas State Fair Parking information
- note during the Texas State Fair parking at Fair Park is $10. On
weekends you can also ride the DART from Perl Station.
FAQ on Parking during the Texas State Fair
Important notes on parking: You will have to pay for parking
during the Fair. Parking is first come, first serve. Leave home early
and allow at least 1.5 to 2 hours prior to performance for parking.
Dalls Summer Musicals has not authority over parking while the Fair is
open. Check for big events at the Texas State Fair website that may
make parking more difficult.
Homeschool Group Sales Show dates and discount pricing:
How this works:
As each show becomes available, a block of tickets will be set aside
for homeschoolers to order online. Tickets have special group sales
pricing and you will also save on service fees. We must have at least
20 sales each time to continue. You will use the same website each time
and the same password. Order early to get the best seats. Tickets are
only available for each show for a limited time (approx 10 days), so
please order early once their availablity has been announced. In
general the online site will be available for sales about six weeks
before a paricular show. Do let your friends know about the
shows as they become available. Please help us get the word out about
these shows.
Upcoming shows available for orders, we need to have 20
tickets ordered per show for these offers to continue.
Based upon your feedback, here are the shows that will be
offered
for Homeschool Discounts for the next season. Exact show time dates
will be picked at a later time. Expect to order well in advance of the
show date.
For each show, there will be select performance dates picked
for the
homeschool discount show during that show's run period, and you will be
able to pick from multiple seating/price levels. In general for each
show, both a daytime and night time performance are offered. Once the
offer expires, you will NOT be able to get the group sales rate, so
it's very important for you to order in a timely manner once the sale
for a particular show is active.
Note while shows are listed below in order by show date, we
may need
to do the actual offers out of order, depending upon the show. Only one
show will be offered at any one time. For most current info check this
page

bigger heart, has only one passion - to dance. She wins a spot on the
local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show" and, overnight, is
transformed from outsider to irrepressible teen celebrity. But can a
trendsetter in dance and fashion vanquish the program's reigning
princess, win the heart of hearthrob Link Larkin, and integrate a
television show without denting her `do? Only in HAIRSPRAY, based upon
the New Line Cinema film written and directed by John Waters.

THE WEDDING SINGER kicks off the Dallas Summer Musicals’ 2008
season at the Music Hall at Fair Park. The Tony® nominated
Broadway
musical comedy called by Newsday “One Big Party! A
good-natured,
high-energy musical,” is based on the 1998 hit film starring
Adam
Sandler and Drew Barrymore. It’s the 1980s, with junk bonds,
MTV,

grandmother’s basement in New Jersey and sings in a wedding
band.

Sweeney Todd -Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 8pm, Wed,
January 16, 2008 at 8pm, Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 8pm and Sunday,
January 20, 2008 - - The Majestic
Theatre - Special - $20 student tickets! - offer completed
This is the Tony(R) Award-winning Broadway production of Stephen
Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's musical thriller, SWEENEY TODD. The touring
production of Doyle's revolutionary re-imagining of the musical -
considered to be Sondheim's masterpiece - is presented by Dallas Summer
Musicals' Broadway Contemporary Series, starring Judy Kaye (The Phantom
of the Opera, Mamma Mia!) as Mrs. Lovett and David Hess as the demon
barber himself, Sweeney Todd. This exciting and innovative new
production features a multi-talented ensemble of ten talented
actor/musicians, five from the 2006 Tony(R) Award-winning Broadway
company.
How does the movie
compare to the theater production?
According to my group sales rep:
"I also wanted to tell you, that the movie is rated R, however our show
is not that gruesome. It has some issues that I believe would be more
PG-13, but certainly not rated R."

Unexpected things can come from the sky--messages, signs, promises. On

sense of nostalgia, like a strange need to go back to the house you
came from, the house where a family once lived, where your roots are.
In our house we call this kind of beautiful, sweet sadness that you
feel when you look at a sunset, "rain in your eyes."
