TAFFIE Mailing List Book List

Some of the books we have read. Like many homeschoolers, we have lots of books and are always adding more to our collection. Here's a few to get you started.

Click on the topics below and that will take you to the descriptions for the books in each category. If you click on the image or the link for the books, you will go to Amazon where you can buy the book directly from them. New titles have been added in the Online Help, Teen and Getting Started sections. The online help section also includes a link to our new robotics books section.

Thanks to all of you who have been buying books through our links. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know .

thanks,

Susan

Curriculum/Unit Studies - These books include curriculum guides to help you decide on programs and materials for either creating your own curriculums or using existing materials. This category also includes actual curriculum materials.

Learning Styles and Methods - These titles help you understand the different approaches to learning and finding what type of learner that your child is so you can find what methods work best for your family. Includes titles related to unschooling and other methods.

Teens, College and Life    - These titles address issues related to older homeschoolers as they approach college and adulthood. Also good for those with children in the middle school years to prepare for the future.

Books for Children - These are but a few of our favorite books. Includes a special section on Texas-related subjects as well as "classics" and computer books for children.

Liz's Corner - These books are Liz's picks, ones that she has especially enjoyed.

Genealogy - These books relate to the topic of genealogy, a great way to help bring history to life as you find your family tree. This points to the books for our Italian genealogy list, so also include books related to Italian culture (including food). Other topics include beginner books, children's genealogy books, computers and memory books.

Let's Get Organized !   - Help for the busy homeschooler. Books to help with organization, to save time and money and get the whole family involved. Great for those interesting in homeschooling on shoestring budget.

Music Page - DVD Movies and CDs that we appreciate for their musical appeal.

Reference Materials - Dictionaries and other materials to help you find the facts and the books you need. Core Knowledge series included.

Calendar and Gift Page - Calendar and organizational items. Great stop if you are looking for something with a Texas Theme. Educational toys and games, electronics.
