RE is Moving in 2008 We are moving to our first urban location ever
this year, to the WONDERFUL 20-story Westin Park Central... with
escalators and 5 elevators - no more standing around waiting for an
elevator! We're Changing the Date We are also changing the
date of the Rethinking Education conference to one week later:
Thursday, September 4 - Monday the 8th.
We are also changing some of the conference basics:
FIRST, we will host full-day intensives for adults & young
adults on Thursday, open Kid Village all day and offer some activities
for kids & teens. We will also propose some fun, short day
trips in Dallas via public transportation for those interested.
SECOND, we are eliminating Unprom, replacing it with FOUR full nights
of music, dance, art, movies & games FOR EVERYONE. We have the
most amazing space to use for this, just wait til you see it!
THIRD, we are completing our program late on Sunday night and turning
ALL DAY MONDAY TIL MIDNIGHT into an Afterglow Gathering. This will be a
special full day for all those of us who can't bear to go home yet and
want more time face to face with our new and old unschooling friends.
We will use our beautiful space and likely anything will happen on this
final day: art, music, dance, conversation, debate, massage therapy,
movies, eating, drinking, reveling in the general fabulousness of being
an unschooler.
