Classes

These are our class offerings. We do classes at a variety of locations, with the majority of them in the Spring/North Harris/Montgomery County area north of Houston. Costs vary by location/class. We have taught some of our classes at Montgomery Community College, PACES, and other locations. In 2005, we did a computer lab for the SETHSA Teen Conference. (Past Classes) We are willing to travel to other locations for classes or workshops if you get a group together.

Current Classes

Jefferson Software Online Computer Classes

Jefferson Software is interested in education. We have done various classes, workshops and presentations on computers.
Our next class is an online class for the programming language Python.

Some of the advantages of online classes include:
Anyone with a computer and internet access can participate, no special equipment required Python Programming Class The class will get you started if you don't know Python, hone your skills if you already know some Python and help you learn how to work with others online, a skill that is more and more important in the workplace. We will cover open source tools that are used by many Python developers and learn about aspects of using Python on web sites and potentially in areas as diverse as games and business software. The class will be as demanding as the student wishes. You will not need to be proficient in another computer language, but you should know a bit of programming. Let us know if you are not sure you are ready for this class and we will help you decide. The class is open to students of all ages. You are never to old to learn. Anyone with a web browser and internet should be able to set up their computer for the class. The tools run on most computers and some do not require more computer power that is required to run Python. We are currently planning on $10/month for the classes.

We will schedule workshops for those that want to get with others and get some face to face time. The workshops are not required, but will be an additional way to learn. The workshops will have a small number of people, we are happy where two or three are gathered to learn Python and other subjects. They will be a available for a small additional fee and will be scheduled after we start the class.

And more classes!

We want to see how the online class works for us, then we will set up additional classes.

The above is a very big list. We want to know what you are interested in and will work on building those classes. For additional information contact info@jsoft.com.
