Learn some basics understand your computer

This is a 2 hour workshop designed to help you better use your computer. Email security, website navigation, and computer basics will be covered as well as general questions. If you want to take some of the mystery out of how things work without being over technical, this workshop is for you.

These are short workshops that introduce you to some info on security and web site navigation that will make things easier for you on your computer.

This will be a two hour workshop.

In  this workshop you will:
  1. email basics including security,  online safety, tools for managing your email  to make your time more efficient, and general dos and don'ts of email.
  2. website navigation,  tools and methods for searching, viewing, website security including tips on avoiding viruses and adware.
  3. general computer basics, terminology, file storage.
  4. general questions and answers.

Objective: Help participates understand how to better use their computers and to use them more efficiently.

Target Audience: Anyone that wants to learn more about computers. 

Computer requirements: Most any computer. We will use Windows XP but you can apply what you learn on other computers. Bring your laptop if you want to follow along with some of the presentation.


Two sessions are scheduled for September. Other sessions will be scheduled as interest is shown.

Session #1 -  Tuesday, September 4, from 10am to 12 noon.

Session #2 - Wednesday, Sept 12, from 1pm to 3pm.


This workshop is two hours.
Class sizes are small, some may have as few as 4-6 students.
Cost: $20 a workshop.
